Economics,
from first principles.

Helping UPSC aspirants build an unshakeable understanding of the Indian Economy

— not by mugging facts, but by thinking like an economist.

9+ years teaching at India's top UPSC institutions - Author,
Indian Economy: A First Principles Approach (Pearson, 2026)

MOST STUDENTS DON’T FAIL ECONOMICS

They fail to understand it.

When I was a UPSC aspirant myself, I read every standard textbook cover to cover. I could define fiscal deficit, repo rate, and current account in my sleep. But when the question changed even slightly, I'd freeze. I was remembering economics, not thinking in it.

Over the last nine years, teaching tens of thousands of aspirants, I've built a way of teaching that fixes exactly this. We start from the absolute basics — why does money exist, why does a government tax, why does infation hurt the poor more than the rich — and we build everything else on top of that foundation. Once you see the why, the what writes itself.

That's the only thing I teach. And that's what this website, my book, and my YouTube channel are all about.

“ I was
remembering
economics, not
thinking in it

That single realisation is what this entire method is built to fix.
